FAQs

About Our Kids Ministry

What curriculum do you use?2024-08-28T11:36:01-04:00

Our preschool program uses the First Look curriculum. Through various Bible stories, we strive to teach our preschoolers that ‘God Made Them,’ ‘God Loves Them,’ and ‘Jesus wants to be their friend forever.’ Each month, we provide preschoolers with memory verse static clings to encourage scripture memory at home.

Our elementary program uses the Biggest Story curriculum. This curriculum is a chronological study that serves as a complete picture of God’s Word. We strongly suggest children use the Biggest Story Bible storybook and Memory Verse cards to encourage participation during Sunday mornings and intentional Bible study at home.

Should my child take communion?2024-08-28T11:37:14-04:00

We encourage anyone who has joined God’s family to take communion. In other words, a child has made the personal decision to believe the good news of Jesus, turn from their sin, and make Jesus the KING of their lives. They desire to commune with Jesus and remember who He is and what has done for them. We also encourage that they have been or plan to be baptized. We view communion as a symbol of CONTINUING your life with Jesus as King.

When should my child get baptized?2024-08-28T11:37:42-04:00

We encourage anyone who has joined God’s family to be baptized. Once a child believes the good news of Jesus, turns from sin, and makes Jesus the KING of his/her life, the next step in his/her spiritual journey is baptism. In other words, baptism is a symbol of BEGINNING your life with Jesus as king.

What is a child dedication?2024-08-28T11:38:21-04:00

A child dedication is a tradition that many churches practice. This tradition is not prescribed in the Bible, as for example, baptism and communion. The purpose of a child dedication is to celebrate the birth or adoption of a child and it is an occasion for the parents, in the presence of God, family, and church family, to publicly and prayerfully vow their intentions to raise their son or daughter in the ways of Jesus Christ.

What should my child bring on Sunday?2024-08-28T11:38:44-04:00

Your child doesn’t need to bring anything! We provide all necessary materials for their lessons, activities, and snacks. Just bring your child ready to learn, play, and grow in faith.

How do I pre-register my child for Kids Ministry?2024-08-28T11:39:26-04:00

You can easily pre-register your child online before service. This helps speed up the check-in process and ensures we have the right information to care for your child. Visit our registration page to get started.

Is there a dress code for Kids Ministry?2024-08-28T11:39:58-04:00

We encourage kids to come dressed comfortably, ready for activities and play. Whether in casual clothes or their Sunday best, all children are welcome as they are!

Two young children sit on the floor, playing with a toy train set in a room with blue walls and a window frame—a perfect setting for Kids Ministry activities.
