Outreach Ministry in Raleigh

Outreach Ministry in Raleigh - Fellowship Raleigh Church

ADOPT-A-BLOCK

Adopt A Block is unique service opportunity at Washington Terrace (across Raleigh Blvd. from Fellowship). Each event lasts 2 hours on the fourth Saturday of each month.  Activities include providing groceries for households, picking up trash, playing with children, and having intentional Gospel conversations. It’s family friendly, so kids are welcome.

LAMP MENTOR PROGRAM

WEEKLY MENTORING

During past school years, we have hosted a weekly one-on-one mentoring program where adult Christian mentors connect with Ligon students to help them academically and to build relationships with their families. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will not be hosting the mentor program in the fall of 2020. Please contact Pastor Jonathan (jonathan.reyes@fellowshipraleigh.org)

Fellowship Raleigh has been an incredible partner to Ligon GT Magnet Middle School. Our students have benefited from after-school mentoring, backpack buddies, and various resources to support our school community. Additionally, Fellowship Raleigh provides teacher appreciation breakfasts for the staff. I look forward to a continued relationship with Fellowship Raleigh and Pastor Matt.

WHY LIGON?

Ligon Middle School is a Wake County Magnet School that serves students from all over Raleigh. Approximately 1/3 of Ligon’s 1,000 students are from Southeast Raleigh, an area that struggles with poverty, broken homes, youth gang involvement, and academic underachievement. Our passion to serve our city simply comes from the amazing love of God shown to us through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and from our church’s desire to be a credible witness in word and deed to this good news.

“In the same way,

let your light shine before others,

so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

FR SERVES

FR SERVES is a one day event where we join together to make our vision of being a church that serves our city a reality. First, we meet at the church building (basement) from 7:00am-8:00am for donuts, coffee, fellowship, and prayer. From there, we break out into our groups to serve at various locations around our city.

2020 FR SERVES LOCATIONS: TBD

2019 FR SERVES LOCATIONS:
